Why isn't ROLLER SKATING a part of the Olympic competition?

Why isn't Roller Skating in the Olympics???? It's disgusting that such a long standing respected sport is left out!!!! I've heard over the years it's due to politics and money. Also, that ice skating takes precidence.
It's clear there is something stopping it since we get skate boarding, and they're considering roller blading.
Fact: Roller Skating has all facets of National and World competition that Ice does, including figure, dance, freestyle, pairs, speed and hockey. Why is the Olympic comittee members continuing to push down a viable sport, that with Olympic possibilities, would grow even more??
I skated as a youth and over time quit since the associations bids for Olympics was turned down several times.

i think it should if power walking is an olympic sport so should rollerskating

Honestly, I believe rollerskating is monapolized by African Americans. Not that non African Americans do not actively skate and are just as good as others. There are an incredible number of rollerskaters that without the benefit of formal training could rival the most talented ice skater on a good day. Blacks do not monopolize any sport as a whole (even the proverbial NBA and NFL. Male and female Blacks are extremely talented. I truly believe it is an unspoken truth. The financial cost of rollerskating is minnmal at best. A pair of skates and a hardwood floor. I'm not saying it is true but it is something to think about. Check out youtube- Chicago Skaters; or visit any skating rink in the inner city, you will see why. Just my thoughts. I think ice skating is beautiful but when you can name the only two Black skaters the last 20-25 years, Debbie Thomas and Sonya Bonaly...................
